Biography:
B.F.A. Magna Cum Laude Arizona State University
My current interests are the simplicity that lines can make as an impression, a movement, an emotion, a pose or moment in time transferred through line.
A line is infinite and definitive at the same time.
My interests lie within the human body, the structure, the meat and bones behind the skin. I see circles, or wire frames on all people. I am facsinated with how the body moves, drapes, contourts, and bodies curves or angles.
I broke my neck and back in 1998 and through a chaotic run with the health care system a lot of my work stems from those experiences and horrific happenings. Through my art I find solice.
It amazes me how a drawn line, in any way, can transform movement, connection and infinite destination.
I feel art should be something that grabs your soul, that throws you into serenity, chaos, and pure emotional mayhem. To me that is what art does to a person when the art is pure.
I am in love with large scale enriched colored paintings with my figurative drawings. I have experience with large scale foam sculpture, movie set design, textile design, surface design, fiber arts, jewelry, scribbling, acting and dabbling in the craft world.
