Artist - Alex Strazzanti

Artist’s Statement:
The series on display entitled ‘Warmth of Spain’ is Alex Strazzanti’s most recent international photography series. Alex prints each photograph on acid-free watercolor paper with archival inks to insure longevity. There is no color or content alteration in any of his work.

After receiving his Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis and working in social services for ten years, Alex re-discovered his passion for photography and began his professional photography career in 2003. He discovered that his affinity for capturing beauty would lead him to wonderful places around the country and the world. His photography is strongly influenced by Taoist and Buddhist principles of balance, serenity, and truth. His goal is to capture true beauty as it exists in nature. In a time when we are often inundated with images that have been digitally altered, he takes pride that his images are true natural moments. His eye for detail, timing, and composition allow the viewer to feel the true power of the moment.

Alex lives in Seattle with his wife, Jeannie, and their English Bulldog, Enzo. In 2005, Alex and his wife opened Oasis Art Gallery in Wallingford which showcases his photographs as well as more than 100 other talented artists in a variety of media.
